Biography: Tamar Schechter is a nationally certified Physician Assistant working on the headache team with Dr. Broner. Biography: Harini Sarva, MD completed a combined undergraduate-medical school eight year program at CUNY Brooklyn College and SUNY Downstate Medical Center.  She completed her undergraduate degree in economics with a magna cum laude from Brooklyn College, during which team she made the Dean’s List every semester and won an award in excellence in economics.  After completing her MD, she was recruited to complete her neurology residency from SUNY Downstate, where she was also a Chief Resident during her final year of training.  She won the SUNY Downstate Alumni Association Outstanding Resident in the Department of Neurology and the Department of Neurology Excellence in Teaching awards.  She subsequently completed her fellowship in Movement Disorders under the mentorship of Dr. Susan Bressman and Dr. Rachel Saunders-Pullman at Mount Sinai Beth Israel.  During her second year of fellowship she was awarded the Clinical Teaching Fellowship grant from the Dystonia Medical Research Foundation and a travel grant from the International Society of Parkinson’s disease and Movement Disorders to attend their annual conference in Stockholm.  After completing all of her training she was an attending in neurology at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY, where she was co-director of medical student and resident rotations and developed a movement disorders elective for psychiatry residents.  She also arranged a CME conference entitled “Movement Disorders Review.” Dr. Sarva subspecializes in Parkinson’s disease, Essential Tremor, Dystonia, Tics, Chorea, Myoclonus, Ataxia, and Gait Disorders.  She is experienced in botulinum toxin injection therapy for craniofacial and limb dystonia, hemifacial spasm, and spasticity.  In addition she is trained to evaluate patients for deep brain stimulation and is an experienced programmer. Dr. Sarva is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.  She is an author of numerous publications and has presented her work at national and international conferences.

Her clinical focus is on the acute management of ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, with specific interests in cryptogenic stroke and stroke in the young.In 2005, Dr. Cheng graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, receiving her Bachelor of Arts in psychology and molecular and cell biology with neurobiology emphasis. She went on to attend the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, earning her Doctor of Medicine in 2010. She began her postdoctoral training at Weill Cornell Medical Center, completing an internship in 2011 and a residency in neurology in 2014, acting as chief resident in her final year. Biography: Yevgeny Azrieli, MD is an Assistant Professor of Neurology at Weill Cornell Medical College and an Assistant Attending Neurologist at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell. He is experienced in providing consultation to patients with a variety of general neurological conditions. Dr. Azrieli received his medical degree from Mount Sinai School of Medicine. He completed an internship in Internal Medicine at New York Hospital and a residency in Neurology at Mount Sinai Hospital, where he served as Chief Resident. Biography: Rivka Sachdev, MD graduated from Mount Sinai Medical School in New York City. She completed her internal medicine internship at SUNY Downstate and her neurology residency training at Tufts Medical Center in Boston. She then completed a fellowship in Movement Disorders at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City. She remained at Mount Sinai Beth Israel as an attending in Movement Disorders and General Neurology for 9 years, during which time she developed expertise in botulinum toxin chemodenervation therapy for various neurological disorders. Conditions she treats using botulinum toxin include cervical and limb dystonia, blepharospasm and oromandibular dystonia, hemifacial spasm and facial synkinesis, tremor disorders, hypersecretory disorders (including sialorrhea and hyperhidrosis), motor tic disorders, spasticity, and chronic migraine. She joined the neurology faculty at Weill Cornell Medicine in July of 2019 and sees patients at the Lower Manhattan Campus.
